No, these units are rated for indoor applications only and can not be installed directly outside. If you wish to install it outdoors, you will need to provide an enclosure to protect the unit from the elements. You will also need to add a low water cut out switch to the boiler.

Yes, all units must be on a primary/secondary pumping system with the primary pump running 24/7. Or they must have a dedicated dump zone to prevent overheating on long periods of idle time.

With a properly designed system you can do infloor heating. LDJ recommends the use of a buffer storage tank with infloor heat systems to prevent low return water temperatures from entering the boiler.

The very top holes are for supply and the very bottom holes are for return. The middle holes are for inspection and cannot be used. You will need a minimum of one supply and one return.

No, these units are not to be used as a direct heating source for portable water. You may incorporate a water to water heat exchanger or a side arm heat exchanger to supplement your current hot water heater.
